manner cause the death of such female fox or her young
whelps during the period she is suckling them, or to set a trap
in any fox den or within 30 yards thereof. And it shall be un-
lawful to hunt or pursue any fox with dogs between the
first day of May and the fifteenth day of July. Any person
or persons violating the provisions of this section shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
before a Justice of the Peace shall be fined in a sum not less
than ten dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars for each
and every offense, and shall stand committed to the County
Jail until the fine and costs imposed are paid, but such im-
prisonment shall not exceed ten days for each offense. Nothing
in this section shall be construed to prevent the killing of foxes
at any time by any person while such foxes are in pursuit of
poultry; provided, however, that the killing of said foxes be
done within a reasonable time after the pursuit of said poultry.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts, general or local, inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act, be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 33.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 17
of Article 2 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Annap-
olis, " for the purpose of making the Mayor and Counselor
and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis the judges of the
election and the qualification of their own members, and
providing for the expulsion of said members.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 17 of Article 2 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "Annapolis, " be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
