to provide for the sharing of any new member company in
said appropriation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,, That Chapter 430 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1927 be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to appropriate and levy annually the
sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15, 000) for the use of the
Prince George's County Volunteer Fire Association. Said sum
shall be paid annually to the Treasurer of said association and
shall be disbursed by him only on order of the Board of direc-
tors of said association to the member companies, departments
or rescue squads of said association, only for the purpose of
purchasing, repairing and maintaining apparatus and equip-
ment; provided, however, that no payment shall be made to any
company or department which has any resolution or regula-
tion limiting the territory within which it will respond to calls.
Before the County Commissioners shall be required to pay
the aforesaid sum of money to the said fire association, the
said Commissioners shall have the power to- require the officers*
of said association to appear before them and show to the
satisfaction of said Commissioners that all sums of money paid
by the said Commissioners to the said association under this
Act have been expended for the purposes set forth in this Act,.
and also that all member companies are active fire fighting or
rescue squad organizations with equipment in proper working
order.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That no new fire com-
pany or rescue squad which shall be admitted to said associa-
tion after the passage of this Act shall share in the distribution
of any sums of money herein provided for unless they shall
first have been approved by the County Commissioners of said
county for the purpose of receiving the benefits herein pro-
vided.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of
Prince George's Volunteer Fire Association shall give bond
to the County Commissioners of Prince George's County in
