levy of the year 1930 for road maintenance, and such further
sum for that purpose as the increase in the taxable basis of
any such municipality or special taxing area shall bear to the
increased taxable basis of the entire county as established prior
to the annual tax levy.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 154.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 189
of Article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land (1924 Edition—1929 Supplement), title "Licenses, "
sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " providing for the suspension or
revocation of operator's license, markers and registration
certificate.

CHAPTER 155.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
19, 20 and 21 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, "
sub-title "Annapolis, " and to add four new sections to said
Article, said new sections to be known as Sections 21A, 21B?
21C and 211) and to follow immediately after Section 21
of said Article, providing for a Police Commissioner in the
City of Annapolis, prescribing his term, salary and powers,
and providing for the retirement of members of the Police
Department on pension.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 19, 20 and 21 of Article 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Annapolis, "
be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
