Into and which said bond shall be liable to suit by the Board
of Education of Charles County for the violation of its condi-
tions; reserving to the said Board the right to reject any and
all bids.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the said Board of
Education of Charles County is hereby authorized, in its dis-
cretion, to employ a skillful and competent architect, under
whose control and supervision as to material and workmanship
such work may be done.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds from
the sale of the bonds aforesaid shall be paid to the Treasurer
of the Board of Education of Charles County, and $15, 000 of
the funds so realized from the sale of said bonds shall be ap-
plied to the erection, equipment and furnishing of an addition
to the Pomonkey Industrial School, including heating appara-
tus and lighting equipment and fixtures; $6, 500 of said funds
shall be applied to the erection, equipment and furnishing of
an. addition to the Hughesville High School, including heating
apparatus, lighting equipment and fixtures; and $1, 500 of
said funds shall be applied for the further equipment for the
Glasva High School, in said county. The said Treasurer is
hereby authorized and directed to pay to the contractor or
contractors or other persons employed by said Board of Edu-
cation such sum or sums of money as shall be certified in said
warrants to be due for the performance of the contract, or
for work done or material furnished and shall pay upon the
warrant of the said board the cost of the plans and specifica-
tions of the work to be done, the salary of the architect, if
one is selected, and such other expenses as the said Board
have properly incurred in the discharge of its duty, and no
part of the proceeds of the said bonds shall be paid out by
the said Treasurer except upon the warrant of the Board of
Education of Charles County.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That should the said
Board of Education find it expedient to reject all bids, as pro-
vided in Section 4 of this Act, it shall, in its discretion, read-
vertise, or it shall have the right to construct, equip and fur-
nish the said school building or buildings in any other way,
method or manner as it shall deem best, and the said Treas-
urer of the Board of Education of Charles County shall pay
the warrants of the said board in the same manner and under
