until all of said bonds shall mature and be paid; and said
bonds shall be signed by the President of the said County
Commissioners and attested by the Treasurer of Charles
County with the seal of the County Commissioners of Charles
County attached and said bonds shall have printed thereon a
distinct reference to the Act directing their issuance and shall
be designated "Charles County Public School Bonds" and shall
be exempt from State, county and municipal taxation in the
State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Charles County be and they are hereby empow-
ered and directed to levy annually a tax upon the assessable
property of Charles County sufficient to pay the interest on
said bonds and to pay and redeem said bonds as they become
due and payable, and said tax shall be collected in like man-
ner as other taxes levied in said county are collected.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Edu-
cation of Charles County shall erect additions to the Pomonkey
Industrial School and the Hughesville High School in said
county; the said plans for said buildings to be approved by
the State Superintendent of Schools, as provided in Section
30 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code, of Maryland (1924
Edition).

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That said Board of
Education of Charles County shall procure and adopt plans
and specifications for the construction of said school buildings
of such material as may be selected by the said board, and said
board shall invite sealed proposals by advertisement, to be
inserted in such newspapers as it shall deem proper, for the
construction and completion of said work, which proposals
shall be in sealed envelopes, and shall be publicly opened on
the day and hour named in said advertisement; said proposals
shall set forth the amount of money for which parties propos-
ing will construct and complete the building or buildings, in-
cluding heating apparatus, according to the specifications and
at the time or times at which payments thereof shall be made?
and the Time when said building or buildings shall be com-
pleted; and the said board shall award the contract to the
lowest responsible bidder giving satisfactory bond to the State
of Maryland, in such penalty as said board shall determine,
conditioned for the faithful performance of the contract entered
