SEC. 4. And be it further enacted as aforesaid, That the
capital stock of said corporation shall be ten thousand dollars,
divided into ten thousand shares of the par value of one dollar
a share. Said corporation shall not issue any certificates or
contracts of insurance until the full amount of the authorized
capital stock shall have been subscribed, and paid for, in cash,
at not less than par, and shall have been invested in securities
approved by the State Insurance Commissioner and actually
deposited with said Commissioner for the protection of the
policy holders of said company. No policy or certificate shall
be issued for more than one thousand dollars ($1, 000) death
benefits on any one life or person.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted as aforesaid. That said corpora-
tion shall at all times maintain legal reserves as required by the
General Law of the State.

CHAPTER 131.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 238
of Article 93 of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land (1924 Edition), to fix and regulate the pay of the Judges
of the Orphans' Court for Montgomery County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 238 of Article 93 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition), be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as
follows:
Section 238. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of the several
counties shall receive the sum of four dollars for every day's
attendance upon the session of said court, to be paid at least as
often as at the end of each and every quarter after the qualifi-
cation of said judges by the counties, provided that St. Mary's
and Montgomery counties be exempt from the provisions of this
section. The Judges of the Orphans' Court shall receive eight
dollars for every day's attendance upon the sessions of said
Orphans' Court for Montgomery County, not to exceed one
thousand dollars in any twelve-month period, to be paid by
the county at the end of each and every month after the
