qualification of said judges. The Judges of the Orphans' Court
of Baltimore City to be paid by the City of Baltimore at the
end of each and every month and the sessions of said Orphans'
Court of Baltimore City shall continue from 11 A. M. to 3 P. M.,
if necessary, for the transaction of business of the court, and
provided that all provisions of any public general law or any
public local law inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 132.
AN ACT to add thirteen new sections to Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1927 and 1930 Edi-
tions), title "Baltimore City, " to be under sub-title "Proba-
tion and Suspension of Sentence, " to be known as Sections
351A to 351M, both inclusive, and to follow immediately
after Section 351 of said Article, relating to the suspension
of sentence; authorizing the creation of a Probation Depart-
ment for the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City and regu-
lating the use of probation, authorizing the appointment of
necessary probation workers, clerical assistants and other
employees by the Supreme Bench of Baltimore* City, and
authorizing the Supreme Bench to prescribe their powers
and duties, and providing for the payment of salaries and
expenses of such probation workers, clerical assistants and
other employees.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That thirteen new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1927 and 1930 Editions), title "Baltimore City, " said
new sections to be under sub-title "Probation and Suspension
of Sentence, " to be known as Sections 351A to 351M, both
inclusive, to follow immediately after Section 351 of said
Article, and to read as follows:
351 A. Probation Department. The Supreme Bench of
Baltimore City is hereby authorized and empowered to create
