of passengers and freight in comparison to taxes on corpora-
tions and individuals engaged in carrying passengers and
freight by other means of transportation, and to advise such
changes in the existing laws as to make such taxes equitable
and fair, for the purpose of recommending such legislation as
it may deem proper and to report these recommendations to
the General Assembly of 1933.

A Joint Resolution relative to a portrait of Governor Henry

Lloyd.

WHEREAS, The Honorable Henry Lloyd was elected Presi-
dent of the Senate of Maryland in the year 1884; and

WHEREAS, He became Governor of the State in 1885; and

WHEREAS, The services he rendered the State should be
recognized in some fitting manner; therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That a
portrait of Honorable Henry Lloyd, former President of the
Senate and Governor of the State, be made and hung in an
appropriate place in the State House; and be it further

Resolved, That the Governor be and he is hereby requested
to provide for such portrait out of any funds in the State
Treasury which may be available for this purpose, or to in-
clude a sufficient amount in the budget to be submitted to the
next General Assembly to cover the cost of the same.
