of Maryland (1930 Edition and Offutt's Edition of 1928), title
"Baltimore County, 7' sub-title "Health and Sanitation, " sub-
heading "Metropolitan District, " said new section to be known
as Section 347A, to follow immediately after Section 347 and
to read as follows:
347A. Whenever plans and specifications for water supply,
sewerage and storm water drainage systems for any area in the
Baltimore County Metropolitan District shall have been com-
pleted and the County Commissioners shall have decided to pro-
ceed with the construction thereof, the County Commissioners
may proceed to construct, or cause to be constructed, said sys-
tem, or parts thereof, by contract, after public advertisement,
and receiving bids therefor, or they may do all or any part of
the work by. their own forces, upon written estimates submitted by
the Chief Engineer of the Metropolitan District, without advertis-
ing or receiving bids; provided, however, that at no time shall
the amount expended for such work exceed twenty-five thousand
dollars ($25, 000).
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 502.
AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 21 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Tal-
bot County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " to be under
sub-heading "Fire Companies, " said new sections to be known
as Sections 74A, 74B and 74C and to follow after Section 74
of said Article, authorizing the County Commissioners of Tal-
bot County to levy taxes for certain volunteer fire companies
in said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-title "County Com-
missioners, " to be under sub-heading "Fire Companies, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 74A, 74B and 74C, to fol-
low after Section 74 of said Article and to read as follows:
