Ing a sum of money out of any funds in the Treasury of the
State of Maryland not otherwise appropriated for the erec-
tion and maintenance of said hospital, and authorizing the
County Commissioners of Montgomery County to levy an
additional sum for the same, " and to appropriate all moneys
collected under the provisions of that Act to the use of the
Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery County for
expenditure in extending hospitalization and treatment to
indigent sick and insane persons in Montgomery County.
WHEREAS, Under the provisions of Chapter 628 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland there was created "The
Tuberculosis Commission of Montgomery County" for the pur-
pose of establishing and maintaining in said county a tuber-
culosis camp or hospital, and
WHEREAS, Certain sums were by said Act authorized to be
appropriated from the Treasury of the State of Maryland and
from the public funds of Montgomery County, and
Whereas. Said Commission did organize and took into its
possession certain funds duly appropriated by the State of
Maryland and by Montgomery County and deposited said
funds and made expenditures therefrom, and
WHEREAS, Said Tuberculosis Commission has ceased to per-
form the functions provided for in said Act, all of the mem-
bers thereof being now deceased and no tuberculosis camp or
hospital was established by it, and
WHEREAS, On January 30, 1931, there was on deposit in
the Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Maryland, to the
credit of said Commission, Dr. John L. Lewis, Treasurer, the
sum of three thousand eight hundred ninety-eight dollars and
sixty-seven cents ($3, 898. 67) and on deposit in the Montgom-
ery County National Bank to the credit of John E. Lewis,
Treasurer, Montgomery County Tuberculosis Commission, the
sum of four thousand seven hundred seventy-six dollars and
twenty-nine cents ($4, 776. 29); and
WHEREAS, It is deemed desirable that the above mentioned
sums be expended as nearly as practicable for similar pur-
poses as those for which they were originally appropriated and
deposited; now therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 628 of the Acts of the General As-
