sembly of Maryland, Session of 1916, entitled "An Act to es-
tablish in Montgomery County a hospital for the treatment of
indigent persons suffering from tuberculosis, appropriating a
sum of money out of any funds in the Treasury of the State'
of Maryland not otherwise appropriated for the erection and
maintenance of said hospital, and authorizing the County
Commissioners of Montgomery County to levy an additional
sum for the same, " be and the said Act is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all funds hitherto
appropriated from the Treasury of the State of Maryland for
the purposes of the above mentioned Act and under the author-
ity thereof and all funds paid by the County Commissioners,
of Montgomery County thereunder be and the said funds are
hereby declared to be appropriated for the purpose of paying,
the hospital expenses of and extending treatment to indigent
sick and insane persons in Montgomery County, provided that
no person shall receive any aid or treatment from said funds
until the applicant has complied with all statutes and regu-
lations respecting such aid in force at the time of application
therefor.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Coun-
ty Commissioners of Montgomery County is hereby designated'
as the successor of the "Tuberculosis Commission of Montgom-
ery County" and is hereby authorized to receive, demand and
collect from any depository of any funds of said Tuberculosis-
Commission such amounts as may be credited to said Commis-
sion or any director or officer thereof on behalf of said Com-
mission, and any such depository is hereby authorized and em-
powered to pay over any such funds to the said Board of Coun-
ty Commissioners.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That it is the intent of
the General Assembly by the passage of this Act to relieve any
depository of the funds of the "Tuberculosis Commission of
Montgomery. County" from any liability to the State of Mary-
land or to any person for the action of such depository in pay-
ing over any funds of such Tuberculosis Commission unto the
Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery County.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.
