CHAPTER 457.

. AN ACT to provide for the transcribing of General Index of
Judgments Number One of the Judgment Records in the office
of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Caroline County in a
new General Index of Judgments Record Book and to au-
thorize, empower and direct the County Commissioners of
Caroline County to levy upon the assessable property of said
county a sum sufficient to pay for said new general index book
and the transcribing thereof, and to authorize the said Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Caroline County to apply the excess
fees of his office for the years 1931, 1932, 1933 and 1934, or
so much thereof as may be necessary, to the repayment of said
County Commissioners of Caroline County for the amount ex-
pended therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Caroline County
be and he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to tran-
scribe General Index of Judgments Number One (No. 1) of the
Judgment Records of Caroline County now worn out and ren-
dered inefficient from continued use in said office in a new gen-
eral index record book well bound for that purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Commis-
sioners of Caroline County are hereby authorized, empowered
and directed to levy upon the assessable property of said county
a sura sufficient to pay for said new general index book and the
transcribing thereof, and the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Caroline County be and he is hereby authorized to apply the
excess fees of his office for the fiscal years ending September 30,
1931, 1932, 1933 and 1934, after the payment of all the office
expenses and salaries of the said Clerk and his deputies, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, to the repayment of the
County Commissioners of Caroline County for the amount ex-
pended therefor.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.
