the tax shall not exceed ten cents on each one hundred dollars
of assessable property.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 413.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
189A of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1929 Supplement), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Motor Vehi-
cles, " sub-heading "Suspension or Revocation of Operator's
License, Markers and Registration Certificate, " providing
that persons designated to inspect motor vehicles shall be
entitled to charge a fee for such inspection.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 414.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 69
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (Bagby's
Edition of 1924), so as to exempt Montgomery County from
the provision that where two or more parcels of land are*
owned by or assessed to the same person or persons, one or
more parcels may be sold for taxes upon all or any thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 69 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (Bagby's Edition of 1924), be and the said section is
hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:

69. All State, county and city taxes on real estate shall be
liens on the real estate in respect of which they are levied from
the date they become payable; provided that, except in Mont-
gomery County, where two or more parcels of land are owned
by and assessed to the same person or persons, one or more
parcels may be sold for taxes upon all or any thereof, and from
the date of the filing of the petition for the ratification of such sale
by a circuit court, the taxes upon all of such parcels, for non-
