tion, and it shall not be turned on again until said bill shall
have been paid. All such service rates shall be liens against
the property to which such water may be furnished, and shall
be collected as town taxes are now or may hereafter be by law
collected, and shall have the same priority rights, bear the same
interest and penalties, and in every respect be treated the same
as taxes now are.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 62.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Charles County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 84A and 84B and to
follow immediately after Section 84 of said Article, to pro-
vide for the payment by the County Commissioners of
Charles County to the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department,
so long as said fire department remains an active fire fighting
organization, the sum of five hundred dollars ($500. 00) an-
nually for its benefit and for certain purposes, and to levy
said amount on the assessable property of said county, and
to provide for the date on which said payment shall be made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That two new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Charles County, " sub-title "County
Commissioners, " said new sections to be known as Sections 84A
and 84B, to follow immediately after Section 84 of said Arti-
cle, and to read as follows:

84A. The County Commissioners of Charles County are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay the sum of
five hundred dollars ($500. 00) annually to the La Plata Vol-
unteer Fire Department, so long as said fire department re-
mains an active fire-fighting organization, for its benefit, said
