jail in said county until said fine and costs are paid, pro-
vided said imprisonment shall not continue longer than thirty
days.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 201 of
said Article 9 be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and that a new section be and it is hereby added
to said Article, said new section to be known as Section 201A,
to follow immediately after Section 201 and all to read as
follows:

201. Upon the completion of said water supply system, the
said Water Supply Commission shall turn over to the Town
Commissioners of La Plata the said water supply system, and
any funds from the sale of said water bonds remaining after the
construction and equipment of said system shall be used by the
said Town Commissioners in their discretion for the redemption
of any of the bonded indebtedness of said town. The said
Town Commissioners shall have full charge of the operation,
management and maintenance of the said water supply system,
including the power to make contracts, to purchase material,
employ all such assistants (skilled or unskilled), and labor as
may be necessary for the proper operation of said water supply
system, to make such rules and regulations for the manage-
ment of said water supply system as they may deem proper;
to make extensions, additions or improvements to said water
supply system; and to fix and revise rates or charges for the
use of water and to determine the terms and conditions upon
which water will be furnished to the residents of La Plata
or vicinity. Provided, however, that nothing in this Act con-
tained is intended or shall be taken or construed as relieving
the Town Commissioners of La Plata from any and all pro-
visions of Sections 346 to 418, inclusive, of Article 23 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), known as the
Public Service Commission Law, or any amendments thereto.

201 A. The Town Commissioners of La Plata, or their duly
authorized clerk, shall render the bills for water service,
monthly or quarterly, as they deem necessary, to each prop-
erty served, which shall thereupon be payable at the office of
the Town Commissioners or their duly authorized clerk; and
if any bill for water service shall remain unpaid thirty days
after date of sending, the Town Commissioners shall, after
written notice, turn off the water from the property in ques-
