three successive weeks prior to said election, in a news-
paper published in Worcester County, which notice shall
show the time and place where the election will be held
and the hours of holding the same, and shall give a suffi-
ciently reasonable description of the matter to be sub-
mitted to the voters at said election, by a reasonable suffi-
cient description of this Act. The ballots to be voted at
said election shall have a brief reference to, or explanation
of, this Act printed thereon, and under the same there shall
be provided two lines with a square at the end of each;
in one of which squares, on the one line, the voter may
mark his or her approval, by a cross mark therein, and
on the one line opposite one square shall be these words:
"For Electric Lighting Plant. " And on the other line
opposite the other square, shall be these words: "Against
Electric Lighting Plant. " If a majority of all of the voters
who vote in the said election shall vote "For" an electric
lighting plant, then this Act shall at once take effect and
be operative; but if a majority of all of said voters who
vote at said election shall vote "Against" an electric light-
ing plant, then this Act shall be of no effect, and shall be
void.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That in the event
that it shall appear to the Mayor and City Council of
Ocean City that a majority of votes cast at the special
election provided for in this Act shall be "For Electric
Lighting Plant" and bonds are actually issued. under this
Act, then any failing to comply with any of the provisions
of this Act concerning the conduct of the special election
shall not affect the validity of the bonds issued under the
authority of this Act nor impair the right of any holder
of such bonds to collect the principal and interest when
due; and no purchaser of any of the bonds authorized by
this Act, and no holder thereof, for value and in good faith,
shall be bound to see to the application of the purchase
money of said bonds.

SEC. 10. And be it^ further enacted, That this Act to
the extent of a submission to the voters of Ocean City,
the approval or disapproval of it, and such further extent
as necessary, shall take effect on the first day of June, 1935,
