the same time, and in the same manner as the levy and
collection of other municipal taxes.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor and
City Council of Ocean City shall have full power and
authority to appropriate the proceeds of sale of said bonds
for the purpose of making and installing an electric light-
ing plant and lighting system, and all necessary parts,
poles, wires, lines, services, fixtures, appliances and ap-
purtenances, necessary or convenient for the installation
and operation thereof, for the town of Ocean City and
vicinity.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That for the pur-
pose of erecting, installing, equipping, maintaining and
operating the said electric lighting plant and lighting sys-
tem, the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City is hereby
authorized and empowered to acquire any real or personal
property necessary or convenient for the said purpose,
within or without the corporate limits of the town of
Ocean City, and it may acquire the said property by pur-
chase, if possible to do so, by agreement with the owners
of such property, and if not possible to so acquire the said
property by purchase, then by condemnation proceedings,
said condemnation proceedings to be in the form and in
the manner provided by Article 33A of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Eminent
Domain, " which right of condemnation is to apply to and
affect any property necessarily required for the building
and installation of said electric lighting plant and light-
ing system, whether said property is in the said corporate
limits or outside of the said corporate limits.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
become effective only after it shall be submitted to the
legally qualified voters of Ocean City, the legal qualifica-
tions of each voter being the same that is required to per-
mit any voter to vote in any regular municipal election held
in said town of Ocean City, and this Act shall be sub-
mitted to the said legal voters of said town of Ocean City
at a special election to be held for the purpose on a date
to be selected by the said Mayor and City Council of Ocean
City, and said election shall be held in the same manner
as municipal elections for the election of the Mayor and
the members of the City Council of Ocean City. Notice
of the submission of this Act to the said voters, at the said
special election, shall be published at least once a week for
