shall have been appointed by the Sheriff and serve as afore-
said.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 462.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
585 and 589 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chap-
ter 438 of the Acts of 1933, title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace, " increasing the
salaries of the Police Justice of said county, and the
Clerk of the Police Court of said county and authorizing
the County Commissioners to furnish said Clerk with
an automobile for his official use.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 585 and 589 of Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), as
amended by Chapter 438 of the Acts of 1933, title "Prince
George's County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace, " be and
the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

585. The said Police Justice shall be paid a salary of
twenty-three hundred and seventy-five dollars ($2, 375. 00)
a year, payable monthly by the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County, and he shall receive in addition
thereto the sum of four hundred and seventy five dollars
($475. 00) as personal expenses in connection with the du-
ties of his office, and he shall receive no other fees or com-
pensation of any other kind, nature or description in con-
nection with his office. He shall charge the same costs both
in civil and criminal cases as are now allowed by law, and
all fees, civil and criminal, charged or taxed as part of the
costs, and collected by him, shall be paid over to the County
Commissioners and by them credited to the County; and all
witnesses in criminal cases before him shall be allowed the
same fees and mileage as are now allowed in criminal cases
before a Justice of the Peace in Prince George's County.
