published in the newspaper having the county printing and
be embraced in the annual contract for such printing. The
said Transfer Clerk and Auditor shall also perform such
other and further duties as the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County may impose upon him.
Before entering upon the duties of his office said Trans-
fer Clerk and Auditor shall take oath before any of said
County Commissioners that he will diligently, without par-
tiality or prejudice, discharge the duties of his office, and
he shall be entitled to a salary of Eleven Hundred and Forty
Dollars ($1, 140. 00) a year which salary shall be in full for
any and all services rendered by said Transfer Clerk and
Auditor.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 461.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
939 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Sheriff, " as amended by Chapter 139 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1933
increasing the compensation of the guard to the jail.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 939 of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County, " sub-title "Sheriff, " as amended
by Chapter 139 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1933, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments to read as follows:
939. Said guard, when appointed, shall serve contin-
uously, and he shall receive for his services the sum of
one dollar and ninety cents ($1. 90) for each day, and one
dollar and ninety cents ($1. 90) for each night he shall serve
as such guard, to be certified by the Sheriff, and such
amount shall be levied by the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County for the use of said guard at their
regular term for levying taxes for each year if any guard
