but not including the publication of local laws, for the
period of one year from said second Monday in April; said
bids shall be sealed and endorsed "proposals, " for public
printing for Prince George's County, and addressed to the
Clerk of the said commissioners, who shall safely keep all
such proposals and deliver them to the county commis-
sioners, to be publicly opened by them on the final day
named in their notice inviting proposals; and the county
commissioners shall open publicly the said bids, and award
the contract for all the printing and publishing for the
county, for the ensuing year, to the lowest bidder of the
two newspapers having the largest bona fide circulation in
said county; provided, said bid does not exceed the sum
of six hundred dollars; and provided further, that all print-
ing under this section shall be given to some newspaper
printed and published in the county; and in case of a tie
in the bids, preference shall be given to the paper having
the largest bona fide circulation in said county.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 450.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
348 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition) title "Prince George's County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer, " so as to permit payment of
County taxes except taxes on Motor Vehicles in two (2)
installments and authorizing County Commissioners to
levy such amounts of money as may be necessary to carry
out the object and purpose of this Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 348 of Article 17, title "Prince
George's County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows:

348. All County taxes, including all taxes, assessments,
and charges which are now or which may hereafter by law
be collected in the same manner as county taxes shall be
