CHAPTER 424.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
281 of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County, " sub-
title "Sheriff, " fixing the fee to be paid the Sheriff for
conveying prisoners beyond the limits of the County
and the fee for his attendance at cases before Justices
of the Peace.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 281 of Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cal-
vert County, " sub-title "Sheriff, " be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
281. The Sheriff of Calvert County shall receive a sum
of money not to exceed sixty cents a day for keeping and
boarding each prisoner in the county jail and shall also
receive twenty-five dollars, for conveying to the State Peni-
tentiary or to any other place of punishment situated be-
yond the limits of said county, every person sentenced
thereto by the Circuit Court for Calvert County, or by any
justice of the peace for said county.
The Sheriff of Calvert County shall be entitled to charge
and receive the sum of three dollars for his attendance at
each case before a Justice of the Peace in said County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 424.
AN ACT to add seven new sections to Article 6 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Caroline County, " said new sections to be known as
Sections 96A, 96B, 96C, 96D, 96E, 96F and 96G, to fol-
low immediately after Section 96 of said Article and to
be under a new sub-title entitled "Coal, " prescribing cer-
tain regulations and license fees in regard to the sale
and weighing of coal in said County and making: viola-
tions thereof misdemeanors and providing penalties
therefor.
