WHEREAS, the town of Cambridge contemplates the con-
struction and maintenance of a sewage treatment and dis-
posal plant; and
WHEREAS, for this purpose, it will be necessary to ac-
quire some of the land owned by the State on which the
Eastern Shore State Hospital is located; and
WHEREAS, since the construction of such a plant will be
a benefit to the Eastern Shore State Hospital; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Public Works of Maryland,
or other proper officials of the State, be and they are here-
by authorized to convey to the Commissioners of the town
of Cambridge, their successors or assigns, seven (7) acres
of land, more or less, together with the necessary rights
of way or easements, for the nominal consideration of One
Dollar ($1. 00), the said property to be used for the con-
struction of a sewage treatment and disposal plant. Pro-
vided, however, that the said conveyance shall not be made
until the Commissioners of Cambridge have made provi-
sion for the construction of said disposal plant.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 422.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 40 to 74, inclusive, of Article
9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Charles County, " sub-title "Cobb Is-
land, " being the Charter of the town of Cobb Island.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 40 to 74, inclusive, of Article 9
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Charles County, " sub-title "Cobb Island, " be
and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
