CHAPTER 56.

AN ACT to add one new section to Article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (Flack's 1930 Edition),
title "Kent County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, "
to follow Section 151, to be designated Section 151A, pro-
viding for the annual payments of certain sums of money
to the three Volunteer Fire Companies in Kent County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That one new Section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (Flack's 1930 Edition), title "Kent County, "
sub-title "County Commissioners, " to follow Section 151,
to be designated Section 151A, and to read as follows:

151A. The County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized and directed to pay on or before the 15th
day of January, in each and every year, the sum of five
hundred dollars ($500. 00) to the Millington Volunteer Fire
Company, the sum of five hundred dollars ($500. 00)
to the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company and the sum
of five hundred dollars ($500. 00) to the Rock Hall Volun-
teer Fire Company and the said County Commissioners
are authorized to levy yearly upon the assessable property
of Kent County a rate of tax sufficient to produce the sum
or sums so to be annually paid to said fire companies.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on the 1st day of June, 1935.

CHAPTER 57.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
261 and 262, sub-section (k), of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Wicomico County, " sub-title "Salisbury, " providing for
election of three Councilmen in each odd year and of
Mayor and two Councilmen in each even year and elimi-
nating short term for Councilmen of the City of
Salisbury.
