SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 4 of Article 76 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Publication of
Laws, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

4. Every public local law made to take effect before the
first day of June next after the session at which it may be
passed, shall immediately after its passage be published
once in each of three successive weeks in such newspaper or
newspapers of the respective counties in which it may
operate as the county commissioners of each county may
direct; and in case such law is to be operative in the City
of Baltimore, then once in each of three successive weeks in
such daily newspaper or newspapers published in said city,
as the mayor thereof may direct; and the mayor and city
council of Baltimore and the county commissioners of the
several counties shall provide for the payment of such pub-
lication; provided, that as to Prince George's County, the
county commissioners thereof shall direct the publication of
'such laws once only in three newspapers published in differ-
ent sections in said county, the papers designated for such
work to be in the discretion of the county commissioners,
the total cost of which shall not exceed $600. 00, and no
discrimination shall be made by said commissioners as to
the amount each of the three newspapers so designated shall
receive for such work.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 342.

AN ACT to add a new section to Chapter 200 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1931, incorpo-
rating the sub-divisions of Cheverly and South Cheverly,
said new section to be known as Section 11A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 11 of said Chapter, and to
confer additional powers upon the Mayor and Town
Council of Cheverly in Prince George's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
