breach of such Ordinances as they may think proper, such
fines not to exceed fifty ($50. 00) dollars f or any one offense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health, safety,
and welfare and being passed by a yea and nay vote of
three-fifths of all the members of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 827.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County, " to be under sub-title "County
Officials, " said new section to be known as Section 266A
and to follow immediately after Section 266 of said Arti-
cle, fixing the time at which all elected officials of said
County shall take office.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, " to be under
sub-title "County Officials, " said new section to be known
as Section 266A, to follow immediately after Section 266
of said Article, and to read as follows:
266A. All elected officials of Montgomery County unless
otherwise specifically provided for by law shall take office on
the first day of January next succeeding their election and
their terms of office shall begin on that date.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act,
be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
