which of said bonds are to be redeemed, and when said
bond or bonds, are thus selected for redemption, the Mayor
and City Council shall give notice to the holder thereof by
registered mail, if known, and if the holder is not known,
then the Mayor and City Council shall give notice by ad-
vertisement inserted in two newspapers if so many be pub-
lished in said City, of the number of said bond or bonds
selected for redemption, and when and where it is to be
paid, and interest shall cease on said called in bond or
bonds from and after the date fixed for redemption.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That said bonds
shall be sold either at public or private sale, but shall not
be sold for less than par, and said Mayor and City
Council shall provide by ordinance, for the time, place and
manner of sale. The proceeds derived from the sale there-
of shall be paid to the Mayor and City Council of Havre
de Grace, and be by it deposited in some bank, and ap-
plied first to the redemption and paying off all the bonds
issued by said Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace
under the authority conferred by Chapter 176 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland 1922, and the bal-
ance of said proceeds if any there be, after the payment
of all costs and expenses incident to this bond issue, shall
be deposited to the account of the Municipal Utility
Commission.

CHAPTER 48.

AN ACT to authorize the Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown to issue bonds to an amount not to exceed
Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($12, 500. 00), to
refund Ten Thousand Dollars, ($10, 000. 00), five (5) per
cent water bonds, and to refund Three Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars, ($3, 500. 00), five (5) per cent Town
Hall bonds of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Marylandf That the Burgess and Commissioners of Mid-
dletown be and it is hereby authorized and empowered
to issue bonds of said Corporation not to exceed Twelve
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars, ($12, 500. 00), as may
be necessary to refund Ten Thousand Dollars, ($10, 000. 00)
