ing violations thereof misdemeanors and providing
penalties therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That seven new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " said
new sections to be known as Sections ISA, 15B, 15C, 15D,
15E, 15F and 15G, to follow immediately after Section 15
of said Article, and to be under a new sub-title, entitled
"Coal, " all to read as follows:
15A. Every person, firm or corporation dealing in, de-
livering or selling mineral coal or coke within the City of
Salisbury shall, on or before May 1st in each year, take
out and procure a license for such business and shall pay
therefor the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00). Said
license shall be issued by the Clerk of said City and the
said license shall not be issued for the fractional part of a
year. Any violation of the provisions of this section shall
be a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not
exceeding Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) for each and every
cart, wagon or other load of mineral coal or coke sold or
delivered in the City of Salisbury without first having ob-
tained the said license.
15B. Every person, firm or corporation dealing in, de-
livering or selling mineral coal or coke within the City of
Salisbury, shall have said coal or coke weighed on scales of
suitable capacity. Any violation of the provisions of this
section shall be a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by
a fine of not more than $10. 00 for each and every day that
said violation shall continue.
15C. Every person, firm or corporation dealing in, de-
livering or selling mineral coal or coke within the City of
Salisbury shall cause all coal or coke so sold or delivered to
be weighed upon the scales maintained in accordance with
the provisions of the preceding section. Any violation of
the provisions of this section shall be a misdemeanor and
shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $25. 00 for each
and every cart, wagon or other load of said coal or coke
sold without such weighing.
15D. It shall be the duty of the Sheriff, the Deputy
Sheriff, constables, and other police officers of Wicomico
County and the City of Salisbury on demand of the pur-
