whenever real estate purchased by the county at a tax
sale shall be sold by the county treasurer, a mortgagee
or judgment creditor shall have the right to redeem the
same under certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 481 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Harford County, " sub-title "Taxes and County Treas-
urer, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
481. Whenever real estate shall be sold by the treasurer,
the owner, mortgagee or judgment creditor thereof prior
to the sale, his, her, or their heirs, may redeem the
same by paying into Court to be paid to the purchaser
thereof, within the period of twenty-four calendar months
from the date of such sale, the amount of the purchase
money and all subsequent taxes paid by the purchaser,
with interest thereon at the rate of ten per centum from
the date of sale, and the date of such payment of taxes,
respectively. The title to all property redeemed under the
provisions of this Section shall revert to the same status as
it was prior to the tax sale.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 42.
AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 13 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County"
sub-title "County Commissioners, " to follow Section
234H of said Article and to be known as Sections 234-1 to
234L, authorizing and empowering the County Commis-
sioners of Harford County to borrow upon the faith and
credit of Harford County a sum of money not to exceed
One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150, 000. 00)
at a rate of interest not to exceed four (4) per cent, for
the purpose of paying off and retiring part of a loan of
Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300, 000. 00) borrowed
