CHAPTER 299.
AN ACT to add 12 new sections to Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Prince
George's County, " the said new sections to follow imme-
diately after Section 565 of said article, to be placed
under a new sub-title reading "Intoxicating Liquors, " to
be known as Sections 565-A to 565-L, providing for the
issuance of a Wholesale Beer License and a Wholesale
Beer and Light Wine License in said county, defining the
privileges which may be exercised by the holders of such
licenses, reducing the fees payable in said county for a
Class B Beer, Wine and Liquor License, restricting the
privileges which may be exercised by the holders of
licenses, and otherwise regulating the sale of alcoholic
beverages in Prince George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That 12 new sections be and the same are hereby
added to Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, entitled "Prince George's County, " the said new
sections to follow immediately after Section 565 of the said
article to be placed under a new sub-title reading "Intoxi-
cating Liquors, " to be known as Sections 565-A to 565-L and
to read as follows:
Section 565-A. In addition to the licenses authorized to
be issued by Article 2-B of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, the Comptroller of the State shall issue a
WHOLESALERS BEER LICENSE or a WHOLESALERS
BEER AND LIGHT WINE LICENSE for Prince George's
County upon the payment to the Comptroller of an annual
fee of Two Hundred Dollars ($200). The holder of any such
license shall be authorized to import, purchase and keep
for sale at the place or places therein described, and to sell
"Beer" or "Beer and Light Wine" as the case may be, from
a central office or location which shall be designated in the
license, to any other retail license holder in Prince George's
County, and to deliver the same from the places designated
in the license to the purchaser or to a common carrier for
such delivery, and delivery from a truck or vehicle under
the exclusive control of the holder of such a license of bever-
ages previously purchased by and delivered to the license
holder, shall constitute delivery from his place of business
within the meaning of this section. No such license holder
shall be permitted to sell any such beverage for delivery
in this State except to another retail license holder in Prince
