faith and credit of said Frederick County in the amount
not to exceed in the aggregate the sum of Three Hundred
and Twenty-two Thousand Seven Hundred ($322, 700) Dol-
lars, and to expend the proceeds of sale thereof for the pur-
pose of redeeming and paying off the issues of bonds, now
outstanding, heretofore issued by the County Commission-
ers for Frederick County under and by virtue of Chapter
483 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1900, in the amount of One Hundred Eighty-eight Thou-
sand Seven Hundred ($188, 700) Dollars; under and by
virtue of Chapter 125 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1910, in the amount of Seventy-five Thou-
sand ($75, 000) Dollars; under and by virtue of Chapter
404 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1912, in the amount of Seventy-five Thousand ($75, 000)
Dollars, and under and by virtue of Chapter 359 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1914, in the
amount of Thirty-six Thousand ($36, 000) Dollars; all of
said issues being now redeemable at the pleasure of said
County Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Frederick County be and it is hereby
authorized and empowered to sell said bonds by bid upon
sealed proposals to the highest responsible bidder or bid-
ders, after having given at least three weeks' public notice
by advertisement inserted in at least two newspapers
published in the State of Maryland, as the said County
Commissioners may select, of the time, place, manner and
terms of sale and such other notice as it shall think proper;
said bonds shall not be sold except for cash, and when
issued shall be exempt from State, County and municipal
taxation.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners for Frederick County is hereby authorized
and empowered to pass all resolutions that it may deem
proper for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of
this Act, and to do all things necessary for the issuance of
said bonds and offering them for sale, under the most ad-
vantageous conditions which it may think proper, said
bonds to be issued in such manner, for such amounts, to
bear such dates, and to be payable at such times as the
County Commissioners for Frederick County shall provide
by resolution or resolutions, which said resolution or resolu-
tions may fix the rate of interest to be paid on. said bonds,
or designate how the rate of interest may be determined
