73. There shall be three County Commissioners for Cal-
vert County. They shall each receive an annual salary of
six hundred dollars and no more for any purpose
whatsoever, and said salary shall be payable by the treas-
urer of said county, as other debts of said county are paid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 214.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of
the Public General Laws (Edition of 1924), title "Cor-
porations, " to be known as Section ST1/^ and to follow im-
mediately after Section 37 of said Article, to provide for
restrictions and limitations upon the transferability to
and ownership and voting by aliens, as therein defined,
of stock in certain corporations.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 23 of the Code of the Public General Laws (Edition
of 1924), title "Corporations, " said new section to be
known as Section ST1/^, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 37 of said Article and to read as follows:

ST1/^. Any corporation of this State operating a radio
station under license from the Federal Government and/or
any corporation of this State controlling directly or indi-
rectly any corporation, joint-stock company or association
which operates such a radio station may, by its by-laws,
restrict and/or limit the transferability to and ownership
by aliens of shares of its capital stock, whether issued or to
be issued, and/or the right of aliens to vote the same; and
any such restriction or limitation or a summary thereof
need be stated only on certificates for such shares issued
after the adoption of such by-laws. The word "aliens" as
used in this section includes the following and their repre-
sentatives: an alien, a foreign government, a corporation,
joint-stock company or association organized under the
laws of a foreign country and any other corporation, joint-
stock company or association controlled directly or in-
directly by one or more aliens.
