CHAPTER 194.

AN ACT to amend Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland of 1930, title "Prince George's County, "
sub-title "Laurel, " as the same was repealed and re-
enacted by Chapter 431 of the Acts of 1933 by adding a
new section thereto to follow immediately after Section
636 and to be known as Section 636A authorizing the
City Council to shorten the period within which water
may be turned off for non-payment of water bill.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 195.

AN ACT to amend Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland of 1930, title "Prince George's Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Laurel, " as the same was repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter 431 of the Acts of 1933 by adding
a new section thereto to follow immediately after Section
638 and to be known as Section 638A fixing the amount
to be charged as costs against each piece of property
sold at tax sale.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
of 1930, title "Prince George's County, " sub-title "Laurel, "
as the same was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 431
of the Acts of 1933, to follow immediately after Section
638 and to be known as Section 638A, and to read as
follows:

638A. The costs mentioned in the preceding section
shall include the following charges against each piece of
property advertised:
To the Collector for preparing the advertisement........ $. 25

For advertisement and Court costs and auctioning...... 1. 50

To the City Solicitor for reporting the sale.................... 1. 00

Provided, however, that if the taxes are paid on any piece
of property before the sale is made, the payment for the
City Solicitor shall not be charged and collected.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
