SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 185.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
437 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, " sub-title
"Schools, " sub-heading "Teachers—Salaries, " providing
for a reduction in the salaries of certain teachers in Cecil
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 437 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County, " sub-title "Schools, " sub-heading "Teachers—Sal-
aries, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
437. The County Commissioners of Cecil County are
hereby directed to include in the levy for the year 1922 and
every year thereafter, a sufficient amount to provide for
the salaries of the school teachers as hereinbefore pre-
scribed. Provided, however, that the salaries of school
teachers as provided for in Sections 435 and 436 of this Ar-
ticle for the school years 1935-1936 and 1936-1937 shall
be reduced by the following percentages:
Teachers receiving under $1200. 00, ten per cent.
Teachers receiving $1200 to $1799, eleven per cent.
Teachers receiving $1800 to $2399, twelve per cent.
Teachers receiving $2400 to $2999, thirteen per cent.
Teachers receiving $3000 to $3599, fourteen per cent.
Teachers receiving $3600 and over, fifteen per cent.
And provided, further, that the County Commissioners
of Cecil County shall include in the levies for the years 1935
and 1936 sufficient amounts to pay the salaries as herein-
above reduced.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
