SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 182.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 41 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, the said new section
to follow immediately after Section 33 of said Article,
to be placed under a new sub-title reading "Maryland
State Song, " and to be known as Section 33A, to formally
adopt and legalize the Maryland State Song, entitled
"Maryland, My Maryland. "

CHAPTER 183.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
10 of Article 48A of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Insurance, " sub-title "Insurance Depart-
ment, " conferring upon the Insurance Commissioner or
Deputy Insurance Commissioner the power to summons
witnesses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 10 of Article 48A of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Insurance, " sub-
title "Insurance Department, " be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

10. General Powers and Duties of Commissioner. It
shall be the duty of the Commissioner to see that all the
laws of this State governing insurance companies or relat-
ing to the business of insurance are faithfully executed.
