CHAPTER 116.

AN ACT to authorize, in their discretion, The Mayor and
Aldermen of Frederick, to levy and collect a tax on all
the assessable property in the City of Frederick, each
year in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars
to be paid to the Trustees of C. Burr Artz Library, the
same being a free, public Library, for the purpose of the
care and maintenance of said library in Frederick City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland That the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick be
and they are hereby authorized, in their discretion, not
mandatorily, to levy and collect a tax on all the assessable
property in the City of Frederick, in each year, a sum not
to exceed Five Thousand Dollars, to be paid by the City
Register and Collector of Frederick City, to the Trustees
of C. Burr Artz Library, the same being a free, public
library, for the purpose of the annual care and maintenance
of said library in Frederick City.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 117.

AN ACT to authorize, in their discretion, the County Com-
missioners of Frederick County, to levy and collect a tax
on all the assessable property in the County, each year
in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars to be
paid to the Trustees of C. Burr Artz Library, the same
being a free, public library, for the purpose of the care
and maintenance of said library in Frederick County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland That the County Commissioners of Frederick
County be and they are hereby authorized, in their discre-
tion, not mandatorily, to levy and collect a tax on all the
assessable property in the County, in each year, a sum not
to exceed Five Thousand Dollars, to be paid by the Treas-
urer of Frederick County, to the Trustees of C. Burr Artz
