CHAPTER 14.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County," sub-title "County Treasurer," said section
to be known as Section 156A and to follow immediately
after Section 156 of said Article, providing that whenever
real estate purchased by the county at a tax sale shall be
sold by the county treasurer, the owner, a mortgagor,
judgment creditor or other lienor shall have the right to
redeem the same under certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County," sub-title
"County Treasurer," said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 156A and to follow immediately after Section 156 of
said Article and to read as follows:
156A. Whenever real estate shall be sold by the treas-
urer, the owner, mortgagor judgment creditor or other
lienor thereof prior to the sale, his, her, or their heirs, may
redeem the same by paying into Court to be paid to the
purchaser thereof, within the period of twelve calendar
months from the date of such sale, the amount of the
purchase money and all subsequent taxes paid by the pur-
chaser, with interest thereon at the rate of ten per centum
from the date of sale, and the date of such payment of
taxes, respectively.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
132 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County," sub-title "Coun-
ty Commissioners," providing for the payment of all
