In the event any plate or marker issued by such Com-
missioner of Motor Vehicles under the provisions of this
or any other section shall be lost or destroyed, the Com-
missioner shall cause an investigation to be made into the
circumstances of the alleged loss, and if he is satisfied that
said tag or tags have in fact been destroyed as alleged by
the applicant, he shall issue a duplicate or duplicates there-
of, or a new set of tags, in his discretion, with appropriate
registration certificate, at a cost not to exceed four ($4.00)
dollars in the case of a motor vehicle, or two ($2.00) dol-
lars in the case of a motor cycle or bicycle with motor at-
tachment.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 86.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
456 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County,"
sub-title "Glen Echo," relating to the qualifications and
election of the Mayor and Council of the town of Glen
Echo.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 456 of Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County," sub-title "Glen Echo," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

456. The qualified voters of said town shall, on the first
Monday in May, 1935, and every fourth year thereafter on
the first Monday in May, at such place or places as shall be
designated by the Judges of Election, between the hours
of 5 o'clock P. M. and 9 o'clock P. M., elect by ballot two
persons to be members of said council of said town, who
shall serve for a term of four years or until their successors
are elected and qualified.
