HARRY W. NICE, GOVERNOR. 1313

GAME.

Chapter 436, House Bill 651, amends the Game Laws
relating to bag limits and provides for the exchange or sale
of property used for State Game Refuges.

On the recommendation of the State Game Warden that
this legislation is not desirable, I have vetoed this bill.

HAVRE DE GRACE.

Chapter 186, Senate Bill 268, authorizes the Utility Com-
mission to employe its own counsel.

There seems to be no good reason for the creation of this
additional office and I have, therefore, vetoed this bill.

ICE CREAM.

Chapter 210, House Bill 217, sets certain standards with
relation to ice cream, and is inconsistent with Chapter 308,
which has already been approved. I have, therefore, vetoed
this bill.

INVESTMENT'S.

Chapter 599, Senate Bill 403, authorizes investments in
securities issued or insured under the National Housing
Act.

On the recommendation of the Bank Commissioner, I
have vetoed this bill.

ITINERANT VENDORS.

Chapter 383, House Bill 366, repeals the law imposing
license on itinerant vendors.

As the repeal of this law would be unfair to merchants
who have to pay a trader's license, I have vetoed this bill.

JUDGE GREEN.

Chapter 160, Senate Bill 368, provides for the retirement
of Judge Nicholas H. Green on account of continued illness.

Judge Green has died since the passage of this bill and
I have, therefore, vetoed it as being unnecessary.

JUDGMENTS.

Chapter 174, House Bill 246, provides an additional
method of securing judgment upon affidavit in actions
brought before Justices of the Peace.
