SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new Section be and it is hereby added
respectively to Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, "
sub-title "Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, "
and a new Section to Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title "Maryland-Washington Metropolitan
District, " said new section to be known as Section 744-A
and to follow immediately after Section 744, said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 609A, to follow immediately
after Section 609 of said Article, and that a new Section be
and it is hereby added to Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince
George's County, " sub-title "Maryland-Washington Metro-
politan District, " said new Section to be known as Section
744-A, to follow immediately after Section 744 of said
Article and to read as follows:
609-A, title "Montgomery County, " and Section 744-A,
title "Prince George's County. " No administrative offi-
cial, licensing body or board, or any other person in Mont-
gomery or Prince George's Counties, shall issue a license or
permit for any commercial or industrial purpose in a zone
in the Metropolitan District restricted to residential uses.
For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act,
the said Commission shall supply every such administrative
official, licensing body or board, and every other official or
body empowered to issue any license or permit, with a map
showing the commercial, industrial and residential zones
in said District.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That every license
or permit issued in violation of this Act shall be invalid.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
