to be. known as Sections 174A to 174R, both inclusive, and
to follow immediately after Section 174 of said Article
and to read as follows:

174A. The Governor is hereby authorized, empowered
and directed by and with the advice and consent of the
Senate of the State of Maryland, if in session, and with-
out the consent and approval, if not in session, to bien-
nially appoint a Justice of the Peace for Calvert County
at Large, and to designate said Justice of the Peace at
Large and so appointed by the provisions of this Act, as
"Police Justice"; Provided, however, that William W.
Duke, recently appointed by the Governor a Justice of the
Peace for Calvert County, will be the Police Justice until
May 1, 1937.

174B. The said Police Justice as provided for in this
Act shall be a resident and registered voter of Calvert
County, and who, before he acts as such shall give bond
to the State of Maryland in the penalty of One Thousand
Dollars ($1, 000) with a surety or sureties to be. approved
by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Calvert County, con-
ditioned that he shall well and faithfully discharge, exe-
cute and perform, all and singular the duties and obli-
gations of Police Justice; and that he will account for and
pay over to the County Commissioners of said County,
or to any other person or persons or persons entitled to
receive same, all fines, penalties, forfeitures and costs im-
posed and collected by him, or received by him from any
other source under the provisions of the Public General
and Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, or any
ordinance of any incorporated town in Calvert County,
which bond shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for said County, and the same shall
liable at the suit of the State for the use of the State of
Maryland, or for the use of the County Commissioners of
Calvert County, or for the use of any other person or per-
sons or corporation who may be entitled to sue on the
same in case of default in any of its conditions.

174C. The Police Justice so appointed by virtue of
this Act, shall have an office in the town of Prince Fred-
erick, at some suitable place, to be provided by the County
Commissioners of Calvert County at the expense of the
County; provided, however, that he shall be required to
hold his court in the Town of Prince Frederick only on
Saturdays of each week. The States Attorney for Calvert
