school commissioners of said county, as follows: one-fourth
on or before the first day of November next succeeding the
date of the levy; one-fourth on or before the first day of
February next thereafter; one-fourth on or before the first
day of April next thereafter and the remaining one-fourth
on or before the first day of July next thereafter, provided,
however, that at each of said dates said treasurer shall not
pay over to said board of county school commissioners more
than one fourth of such proportion of the monies collected
as the amount of taxes levied for public schools bears to
the aggregate amount of taxes levied for all purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 535.

AN ACT to add a new section to Chapter 551 of the Acts of
1933 of The General Assembly of Maryland, as amended
and supplemented by Chapter 34 of the Acts of the Ex-
traordinary Session of 1933, said new section to be known
as Section 7A and to follow immediately after Section 7
of said Chapter, and to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, Section 10 of said Chapter extending the time for
the commencement and completion of a bridge across the
Potomac River, and to exempt any public body which may
acquire the franchises of George Washington Memorial
Bridge Public Corporation (formerly known as George
Washington-Wakefield Memorial Bridge, Inc. ) from a
gross receipts tax on the tolls derived from said bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Chapter 551 of the Acts of 1933 of the General Assembly of
Maryland, as amended and supplemented by Chapter 34 of
the Acts of the Extraordinary Session of 1933, said new
section to be known as Section 7A and to follow immedi-
ately after Section 7 of said Chapter, and to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Section 10 of said Chapter, all to
read as follows:

7A. Upon the acquisition by any state agency, county,
municipal corporation, public corporation or other public
body of the franchises of George Washington Memorial
