of the Rockville or Number Four (4) Election District of
Montgomery County, which lies East of the Washington-
Georgetown Road, and South of the boundary line of the
Town of Rockville, and the Rockville-Norbeck Road, and
which has not heretofore been included in the Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of carrying out the provisions of this Act the above de-
scribed additional territory shall be under the jurisdiction
of the body corporate known as the Maryland National Cap-
ital Park and Planning Commission and any or all parts of
said territory shall be subject to all of the rules, regulations,
assessments and benefits effecting the same as a part of the
territory of the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan Dis-
trict for the purpose of direct tax or any or all of the pro-
visions of Chapter 448 of the Laws of 1927 and any amend-
ments thereto, and said additional territory shall be taken
as and treated as if the said additional territory were within
the original boundaries of the said Maryland-Washington
Metropolitan District.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

618 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
. Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, "
sub-title "Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, "
extending the operation and effect of the Building Code
adopted for the Metropolitan District in said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
