SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said Court shall
have full power to fill vacancies on said committee, when-
ever and however they may occur.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the total cost of
the necessary books, and the making and verification of
said indexes/shall not exceed the sum of Ten Thousand Dol-
lars ($10, 000) for the Land-Records and shall not exceed
the sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 800) for the
Mechanics Lien and Judgment records; and that the excess
fees of said Clerk's Office shall be devoted to the payment
thereof, until the same is fully paid.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 489.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 11 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Banks and
Trust Companies, " to be under sub-title "Banking Board, "
said new section to be known as Section 19A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 19 of said Article, provid-
ing for a Banking Board and defining its powers and
duties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 11 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Banks and Trust Companies, " to be under sub-
title "Banking Board, " said new section to be known as
Section 19A, to follow immediately after Section 19 of
said Article, and to read as follows:
BANKING BOARD
19A. There is hereby created and established a Bank-
ing Board which shall consist of three members to be ap-
pointed by the Governor. One member of said Board shall
be a representative of the Baltimore Clearing House, one
a representative of the Associated Mutual Savings Banks
of Baltimore and one a representative of the Maryland
State Bankers' Association. Each of these organizations
shall submit the names of three men qualified for the re-
