CHAPTER 87.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, the title
and Section 1, of the Act of 1933, Chapter 573.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners for Dor-
chester County to transfer the funds held by them for
the "Court House Building Commission" from the sale
of the Dorchester County Court House and School bonds
authorized by the Acts of 1931, Chapter 493, which
monies are a surplus after the completion of said Court
House and the premiums received from the sale of said
bonds and the bonds for High School buildings in Dor-
chester County to their general fund and authorize the
said Board of County Commissioners for Dorchester
County to use (three thousand dollars ($3, 000) or) so
much (thereof) of said money as may be necessary for
rebuilding, repairing, renovating, equipping and refurn-
ishing the county jail, and the balance to be paid on ac-
count of the bonded indebtedness of the County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners for Dorchester
County are hereby authorized to transfer the funds held
by them for the "Court House Building Commission" from
the sale of the Dorchester County Court House and High
School bonds authorized by the Acts of 1931, Chapter 493,
and also the premiums received from the sale of said bonds
and the bonds for High School buildings in Dorchester
County to their general fund and are hereby authorized
and empowered to use (three thousand dollars ($3, 000)
or) so much (thereof) of said money as may be necessary
for rebuilding, repairing, renovating, equipping and re-
furnishing the county jail, and the balance to be paid on
account of the bonded indebtedness of the County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and, having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
