SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That 7 new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County",
sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks", said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 301A to 301G, both inclusive,
to follow immediately after Section 301 of said Article and
to read as follows:

301A. No person, firm or corporation shall sell beer,
lager beer, ale or porter in Queen Anne's County without
a license as herein provided, such license shall be granted
by the Clerk of the Circuit Court. They shall be of two
kinds: (1) "On Sale" licenses which shall permit the licen-
see to sell the aforesaid beverages for consumption on the
premises only, and (2) "Off Sale" licenses which shall per-
mit the licensee to sell beverages in packages, containing
not less than one dozen bottles, or single containers of not
less than five gallons content, for consumption off the prem-
ises only.

"On Sale" licenses may be granted only to bona fide hotels,
restaurants where meals are habitually served for pay-
ment and/or incorporated clubs.

No license shall be granted under this Act to any drug
store or pharmacy, and the sale by a licensee of any of the
beverages aforesaid to a minor is prohibited, except on the
written consent of parents or guardian.

301B. All licenses required by the provisions of this Act
shall expire on the first day of May next succeeding the
date of their issue, and shall be issued for twelve or six
months only, and for no other periods of time; all twelve
months licenses shall be granted to begin from the first day
of May in the year of their issue, and all six month licenses
shall be granted to begin from the first day of November,
in the year of their issue; provided, however, that when
such licenses are issued for a period of six months, one-
half only of the annual fee hereinafter provided for shall
be charged; and provided further that such licenses may
be issued at any time from and after the date of the
passage of this Act until May 1st, 1934, and when so issued
the respective licensees shall pay an amount based upon the
fees hereinafter provided, but in proportion to the length
of time which said licenses will actually run.

301C. The fee for "On Sale" licenses shall be $50. 00 per
annum and for "Off Sale" licenses it shall be $25. 00 per
