6. The said board of trustees are hereby authorized
and empowered to enter into contracts with the
County Commissioners of Washington County, and the
Mayor and Council of Hagerstown providing for the re-
ceipt of revenues, in perpetuity, in aid of said hospital. The
said Board of Trustees shall have full power and authority
to borrow money from any Federal, State or local govern-
mental body or from any incorporated or unincorporated
financial institution or private individual, with power to
hypothecate, pledge or mortgage its property or any por-
tion thereof, or any securities or assets which it may own
or possess, or in which it may have a present or prospec-
tive interest, for the purpose of securing funds for the con-
duct of the institution or for remodeling or rebuilding or
altering any of the present buildings or for building a new
institution.
7. The real and personal estate authorized by this Act
to be held by the said "The Washington County Hospital
Association, " for the uses and purposes herein provided
for, shall be exempt from all State, county and municipal
taxes so long as the same shall be used for the purposes
herein mentioned.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 65.
AN ACT to add 7 new sections to Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Liquor and Intoxica-
ting Drinks", said new sections to be known as sections
301A to 301G, both inclusive, and to follow immediately
after Section 301 of said Article, relating to the sale of
beer, lager beer, ale and porter in Queen Anne's County
and providing license fees therefor.
