202 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 58

ordinary Session of the General Assembly of 1933 be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

301. All applications for retail licenses hereunder shall
be filed with, and all retail licenses issued hereunder, shall
be issued by, the Clerk under all the provisions of this Act
or any amendments thereto.

There shall be several classes of alcoholic beverages
licenses, each of which shall be issued in the manner, au-
thorize the doing of things, and be subject to the condi-
tions and restrictions hereinafter set forth, and shall be
issued by the Clerk upon the payment of the costs as here-
inafter set forth, and of the license fee set opposite the re-
spective class or classes of licenses as follows, except that
the manufacturer's license and wholesaler's license shall be
issued by the State Comptroller:

(1) Manufacturer's license................................................ $1, 000. 00

(2) Wholesaler's license...................................................... 1, 000. 00

(3) Light Beer licenses...................................................

Class A, off sale............................................................ 25. 00

B, on sale, hotels and restaurants...... 50. 00

C, on sale, clubs............................................... 25. 00

D, on sale, generally.................................... 50. 00

(4) Light Beer, Beer and Light Wine Licenses:

Class A. off sale............................................................... 35. 00

B, on sale, hotels and restaurants...... 60. 00

C, on sale, clubs................................................ 35. 00

(5) Light Beer, Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses:

Class A, off sale............................................................... 250. 00

B, on sale, hotels and restaurants...... 300. 00

C, on sale, clubs................................................ 150. 00

Nothing herein contained shall prevent railroads and
sleeping car companies holding licenses from the State
of Maryland from selling alcoholic beverages thereunder
in Allegany County.

(1) Manufacturer's License. Such license shall author-
ize the holder thereof to establish and operate within said
County a plant for brewing, distilling, fermenting, blend-
ing, rectifying, or bottling of alcoholic beverages at the
place therein described, and to import alcoholic beverages
of the kind or character for which the said manufacturer
holds license into the County, but such license shall not
authorize the operation of more than one plant establish-
