not exceed the sum of Twenty-five Thousand ($25, 000. 00)
Dollars, and provided further that nothing herein contained
shall require the Mayor and Council to submit to said
qualified voters of the town for ratification or rejection any
ordinance or ordinances for the purchase of real estate,
not exceeding five acres, situate along the east side of
Frederick Street in the corporate limits of said town for a
"Municipal Swimming Pool", provided the purchase price
thereof shall not exceed the sum of Fifteen Thousand
($15, 000. 00) Dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
hereby be declared to be an emergency law and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and being passed by a yea and nay vote supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to the two Houses
of the General Assembly the same shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 46.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 130 to 134, both inclusive, of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " sub-title
"Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 130 to 134, both inclusive, of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " sub-title "Liquor
and Intoxicating Drinks, " be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
hereby be declared to be an emergency law and necessary

safety, and being passed upon by a yea and nay vote sup-
ported by three-fifths of all the members elected to ea^h of
the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
