of the Acts of 1933, relating to the compensation of
teachers employed in the public schools of Allegany
County, for the years, 1933-1934 and 1934-1935.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 620 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws (1930 Edition), title, "Allegany County, "
sub-title "Teachers-Salaries, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 132 of the Acts of 1933, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:
620. The County Commissioners of Allegany County
are hereby authorized and required to levy such sum or
sums upon the request of the County Superintendent of
Schools for Allegany County as shall be necessary to meet
the salaries above provided for in addition to the money
which the said County Commissioners of Allegany County
are now required by law to levy for teachers' salaries, and
that said County Commissioners of Allegany County shall
pay the said money over to the Board of Education of
Allegany County, for the purposes set forth in this Act.
Provided, that for the school year of 1933-1934,
all amounts of salaries set forth in Sections
606, 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, 613, 614, 615, 616, 617,
618 and 619, hereof provided for, the payment to respec-
tive classes of teachers shall be reduced a sum equal to ten
per cent. (10%) from the amounts set forth in said Sec-
tions. Provided, however, that the 10% reduction of salar-
ies may be continued for the school year 1934-1935; or so
much thereof as may be deemed necessary, within the dis-
cretion of the said County Commissioners of Allegany
County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
become effective June 1, 1934.

CHAPTER 38.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to a bequest contained in the last
will and testament of Pembroke M. Womble, Jr., dated
September 1, 1931, and recorded in the office of the
