This Section shall not apply to Baltimore City and Balti-
more, Allegany, Howard, Caroline, Garrett, Harford, Kent,
Queen Anne's, Somerset and St. Mary's counties.

The hours during which the privileges conferred by such
a license may be exercised shall be from 6 A. M. to 12
o'clock midnight except in Washington County where the
hours shall be from 6 A. M. to 2 A. M. on the day following,
and except in Prince George's County where the closing
hours shall not apply, but no holder of such a license shall
be permitted to make any sale on the day of any general,
special or primary election. In Dorchester County no sale
shall be made on Sunday except with bona fide meals.

BEER LICENSE. CLASS D. (ON SALE)—GENER-
ALLY. Such a license shall be issued by the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of the County in which the place of business
is located, and shall authorize the holder thereof to keep for
sale and to sell beer at retail, at the place therein described,
for consumption on the premises or elsewhere, but no such
license shall be issued for any drug store. The annual fee
for such a license shall be Fifty Dollars ($50. 00) except in
Howard County where the fee shall be Fifteen Dollars
($15. 00) and shall be payable to said clerk, before any
such license is issued, for distribution as hereinafter
provided.

This Section shall not apply to Baltimore City and Balti-
more, Allegany, Caroline, Carroll, Dorchester, Frederick,
Garrett, Harford, Queen Anne's, Somerset, St. Mary's and
Talbot counties.

BEER LICENSE. CLASS E. (ON SALE)—STEAM
BOATS. Such a license shall be issued by the Comptroller,
and shall authorize the owner or operator of any steam
boat, steamship, ferry boat or other vessel used for the
transportation of passengers operated in this State, to sell
beer for consumption thereon. One such license shall be
issued for each such steam boat, steamship, ferry boat or
other vessel on which such beverages are sold as aforesaid,
and every such license shall be good throughout this State.
The annual fee for such a license shall be Twenty-five
Dollars ($25. 00) per boat, and shall be payable to the
